A catch-all mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to non-existent addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody misspells it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and in this way you will never miss emails because the other party has an obsolete address or has made a typo. The disadvantage of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of spam messages, but this issue can be solved using anti-spam protection software. It is also crucial to remember that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound messages to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox with ease if you have a cloud website hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel is fully featured, yet unbelievably easy to work with, and it will enable you to activate various options, including the catch-all one, with no more than a few mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you have set up will be listed alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each one of them you will notice a mini "Catch-all" icon. Clicking it once will enable this option, clicking it once more will disable it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you already have a different one with this option enabled or if you’ve got active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-built Hepsia Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will allow you to set up a catch-all mailbox effortlessly even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you have set up with your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will warn you if you have already created another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding enabled. If you reach the decision that you do not want this feature anymore, you can turn it off by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
